The Laguiole knife is considered one of the specialties of Thiers cutlery along with other regional knives. 

Thiers is a city located in the Puy-de-Dôme, it is a fascinating city where in the 19th century the Laguiole knife had its heyday because the Laguiole knife was a very important market. The arrival of the Laguiole knife in Thiers will change everything in the history and the life of the cutlers, because it is following that there was the installation of the division of tasks with the creation of more modern knives.
