General rule for maintaining a folding knife:
-clean the blade with a sponge or a SLIGHTLY damp cloth, then dry it and put the knife away.
-the handle is cleaned only when it is dirty. Proceed as for the blade, wiping immediately.
-neither the blade nor the handle should ever be run under the tap, nor soaked in water.
-if necessary, use a little dishwashing detergent on the sponge or cloth.
