The maintenance of your knife is essential in order to give it a beautiful patina and to keep its mechanics in good condition.
When the opening/closing of your knife is more difficult, we advise you to lubricate the mechanics using a drop of oil (examples: 3in1, wd40, sewing machine, etc.).
Closed knife, put a small drop of oil between the blade and the spring, at the level of the axis of the blade. Open and close the blade and wipe off the excess.
The same goes for models with corkscrew and models with awl, putting a drop of oil on the notches to guarantee the correct functioning of the mechanisms.
